What information we collect

Information you provide directly:

Email address and name if you contact us via email or a contact form
Email address if you voluntarily subscribe to a mailing list
Purchase information (name, email, payment details) when buying digital products — note that payment details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers

Information collected automatically (website):

Basic analytics data such as pages visited, time spent on pages, browser type, and general geographic location (country/region level only) — collected through Cloudflare's built-in analytics, which does not use cookies or track individuals
IP address logs maintained by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security purposes

Information collected by desktop software products (e.g. 3DPrintLogPro):

Our desktop applications may collect and store the following data on your local computer for the purpose of license management and application functionality. This data is stored locally and is not transmitted to our servers except as described below.

Machine ID: A unique hardware identifier generated from your computer's system properties (such as computer name and hardware fingerprint). This ID is used solely for license activation and to enforce the per-machine license limit. It is transmitted to our license verification service at the time of activation and during periodic license checks. It is not used to identify you personally and is not shared with third parties.
Folder Watcher paths: If you enable the Folder Watcher / Auto Import feature, the application monitors a local folder on your computer that you select. The folder path you configure is stored locally in the application's settings. The application reads filenames and file contents (G-code or 3MF files) within that folder only to extract print settings for your log. This folder path and file data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party — it stays entirely on your machine.
Print log data: All print records, settings, photos, and notes you enter into the application are stored in a local database file on your computer. This data is never uploaded to our servers.

What we do NOT collect:

We do not use advertising tracking cookies
We do not build advertising profiles on visitors
We do not collect sensitive personal information
Desktop software does not transmit your print log data, file contents, or folder paths to our servers

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

Digital product purchases

When you purchase a digital product, your transaction is processed through Gumroad, our third-party payment processor. We collect your name and email address to deliver your purchase and for our records. Payment card information is handled entirely by Gumroad and is never stored on our servers. Gumroad's privacy policy applies to data they collect during checkout.

Cookies

TriedAndMade.com does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set technical cookies necessary for security and performance. These are not used to track you across other websites.
